Coronavirus is an infectious disease. People infected from coronavirus experience wild respiratory illness, older people and those having medical problems like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, respiratory disease are more likely to develop this serious illness.
The COVID-19 virus spreads through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose of the infected person during coughing and sneezing, so it’s important to practice respiratory protocols. Some of the important precautions to be taken to protect yourself from coronavirus are by washing your hands or using an alcohol-based sanitizer and also by not touching your face.
Washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds after being in a public place, or after coughing or sneezing. If soap and water are not available frequently, so hand sanitizer which contains 60% of alcohol can be used.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Maintaining 6 feet distance in a public place is important to avoid getting sick. Covering your mouth and nose with a cloth or mask while going in public places to protect yourself from others and incase if you are infected.
In case the surface is dirty, clean them with water prior and soap or detergent to disinfection. After buying fruits, vegetables, and necessary goods wash it properly with water.
And the most important thing is to be aware of the symptoms for coronavirus are fever, cough, shortness of breathing or difficulty breathing, headache, fatigue, vomiting, muscle or body aches.
If you see any of these symptoms, first go get consulted with your doctor. Avoid going out of your house, only go if it’s necessary or emergency. Coronavirus vaccine is not yet found it is very critical for one to take of their self.
