Amit Shah was discharged from a private hospital in Gurugram last week after he tested negative for COVID-19.
According to hospital authorities, Amit Shah was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi at 2 a.m. on Tuesday due to ‘fatigue and body ache’.
“Mr. Amit Shah was complaining of fatigue and body aches for the last three or four days. He has tested negative for COVID-19 and is admitted to AIIMS for COVID care, he is comfortable and is continuing his work from the hospital,” AIIMS said.
He had tweeted on August 14 about his discharge and that he would be in-home isolation for a few more days on the advice of his doctors. On 15th August he was seen participating in Independence Day celebrations and hoisting the national flag at his official residence.
Three weeks ago, just before Mr. Shah was tested positive for Covid-19, he had taken part in a cabinet meeting which was attended by all top ministers, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. All the necessary safety measures, including social distancing, were followed in the meeting, where the National Education Policy (NEP) was approved.
Anyone who came in contact with Home Minister was asked to self-isolate.
