Kejriwal Says; Delhi’s Covid-19 recovery rate falls nearly 88%


On Sunday coronavirus cases risen by 48,661 people, the total number climbed to 13,85,522. While the recoveries rate climbed to 8,85,576 according to the Union Health Ministry data. The Covid-19 death count has crossed to 32, 063 with 705 in a day. Presently there are 4,67,882 active cases of coronavirus infection in the country. Till now 63.92% of people have recovered so far.

The recovery rate in the Delhi has climbed to 87.95 percent from Saturday’s figure of 87.29 percent, with a positive increased rate to 6.13 percent from 5.56 percent on Saturday, the department said in its latest bulletin on Sunday.

Delhi has recovered a 44 percent decline in the number of corona deaths at the beginning of July as compared to June, the Delhi government said on Sunday. The city recorded deaths due to the Covid-19 pandemic between July 1 to July 12, while 1,089 deaths were recorded during the same period in June, according to the analysis made by the Health Department.

“On Sunday Delhi reaches 10th position. People are recovering and the number of active cases is steadily going down,” the chief minister tweeted sharing a list of states with the number of active coronavirus cases. Before Delhi had reached number eight on Saturday and was second on the list a few days back.

Out of the 15,475 beds available in private and government hospitals, only 2,856 are occupied, the bulletin said, further adding that a total of 6,976 patients are recovering in home isolation. The bulletin also said that 3,202 of the total 9,444 beds at various COVID care centers are occupied by the people who are under quarantine, including the people who returned from the Vande Bharat Mission.
