PM Narendra Modi’s speech on India’s 74th Independence Day


India Independence Day 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lead the nation in celebrating the occasion by hoisting the national flag at the majestic Red Fort in Delhi. PM Modi on Saturday applauded frontline workers fighting against novel coronavirus.

PM Modi said India must become self-reliant and use its vast natural resources to produce for the domestic as well as the global market. There were strict social distancing and safety measures in place as the celebrations are happening amid the coronavirus pandemic.

PM Modi launched a National Digital Health Mission and said it will guide in a revolution in India’s health sector. He also said every Indian will not get a unique health ID. He said the country must not only ‘Make in India’ but also ‘Make for the World’.

PM said, “I am confident that India will realize this dream. I am confident of the abilities, confidence, and potential of my fellow Indians. Once we decide to do something, we do not rest until we achieve that goal.”

Today, India is working on three COVID-19 vaccines, which are at different stages of trials. Once they are closer to getting final clearances, we will announce a roadmap for distribution.

As an ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic situation, the general public was not been invited to the event. Instead, 1,500 corona warriors, including 500 police personnel who have recorded from the infection, attended the function in a symbol of the citizens’ willpower to fight the pandemic and appear as winners.
