OnePlus Nord is all set for the launch today. The launch will take place via an AR launch. As per the Covid-19 pandemic all companies are forced to launch products via a pre-recorded video. This is the industry’s first AR launch event.
OnePlus is most anticipated smartphones of 2020. To host this event, OnePlus is using Augmented Reality technologies. The company has also sold AR launch invites on Amazon at INR 99 each, which will help people experience the Nord in AR.
The event will start at 7:30 PM IST today. The event will be streamed live through a dedicated Microsite on the OnePlus website. There is also a dedicated OnePlus Nord AR app for both Android and iOS devices to offer the mesmeric launch experience.
OnePlus Nord is being branded as “Affordable Premium” smartphone, so the price will be the significant part of it. The phone is already confirmed to carry a price tag under $500 (roughly to Rs. 37, 400). We expect the Indian pricing to be even more competitive.
OnePlus has already confirmed that the Nord will feature a 90Hz AMOLED panel, Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G processor, 48MP quad rear cameras, and 32MP dual selfie camera. During a YouTube interview, Carl Pei revealed that the OnePlus Nord will not sport an official IP rating. However, similar to other OnePlus smartphones it will have all the necessary seals and gaskets required to make a phone water-resistant. The OnePlus Nord is expected to sport a 6.44-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, up to 128GB/256GB internal storage, OxygenOS 10 on top of Android 10, 4,110mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T.
The OnePlus Buds are found to have a design mix of Apple AirPods and Google Pixel Buds. The earbuds are teased to offer up to 30 hours of battery life. OnePlus phone user are claimed to receive a seamless audio experience through the new offering.
