The pandemic situation and the increasing number of cases in the country and as per the official declaration, the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad takes Convocation Ceremony today in a virtual manner. Details coming from Hyderabad campus of the varsity has confirmed that a total of 78395 students to collect degrees in a virtual ceremony to be taken today.
Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Friday gave a phone call to the engineers to come out with innovations and compete at the global level to make India proud and self-reliant.
In a virtual mode from Raj Bhavan, Providing the Chancellor’s address at the 9th Convocation of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad (JNTU-H), she said engineers have an essential role in interpreting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Atma Nirbhar Bharat into a reality.
“You have so many opportunities to contribute to the country and achieve your dreams for innovation by participating in Make in India, Start-up India and Atma Nirbhar Bharat and other initiatives launched by the government,” she added.
A total of 53 Gold medals were awarded to the meritorious students and 78,395 UG, PG and PhD degrees were awarded.
For convocation, JNTUH in-charge Vice-Chancellor Jayesh Ranjan, Registrar Prof. Manzoor Hussain and other senior faculty members were present.
